How Were the BMPS 2026 Survival Stage Teams Selected?
The Survival Stage draws its 32 teams directly from the Qualifiers results. Teams didn’t get placed randomly. Krafton India used a 4-Pot system based on each team’s final Qualifiers group standing.
Here’s exactly how each Pot was formed:
- Pot 1: Group B teams ranked 9th to 16th in the Qualifiers
- Pot 2: Group C teams ranked 1st to 8th in the Qualifiers
- Pot 3: Group C teams ranked 9th to 16th in the Qualifiers
- Pot 4: Group D teams ranked 1st to 8th in the Qualifiers
One team from each Pot was drawn into each of the four Survival Stage groups. This kept the groups balanced. No single group got stacked with only strong or only weak teams. Every group has a mix of teams from different Qualifiers levels. That’s what makes every Survival Stage match genuinely unpredictable.
The original 64 Qualifiers teams were themselves invited based on rankings from previous official BGMI tournaments including BGIS 2026, BGMS, BMPS 2025, and the India Rising Series. No open qualifier route existed this season.

The Survival Stage runs from June 2 to June 5, 2026 in an online round-robin format. Each team plays 12 matches. Only the top 8 teams overall advance to the Semi-Finals. The remaining 24 are eliminated.

What Is the Survival Stage Format?
All four groups play simultaneously in the round-robin format. But here’s the key thing: advancement is not group-based. The top 8 teams are picked from the combined overall standings across all four groups. So you don’t need to win your group specifically. You just need to be among the best 8 performers when all 12 matches are done.
That means every single match matters. A team in Group A could finish second in their group but still miss the top 8 overall if other groups produced stronger performers. Consistency over 12 matches is everything here. One big game won’t save a bad run.
BMPS 2026 Semi-Finals Group Draw: Full Bracket Revealed
The Semi-Finals run from June 9 to June 12, 2026 in a double round-robin format. Each team plays 16 matches. Twenty-four teams compete, split into three groups of eight.

- Slots 1-8 (Balls 1-8): Group A’s bottom 8 teams from the Qualifiers
